Pressure Washer Surface Cleaners

Heavy duty cleaning applications often require specialized attachments that increase the effectiveness of a commercial pressure washer. Pressure washer surface cleaners can do a better, more thorough job on large flat areas than simply using a gun or wand.

Some specific applications may include: cleaning driveways, industrial concrete floors, parking lots, marinas and boat ramps, loading docks and mechanic's garage floors. General pump surface cleaners do a much better job of removing stubborn stains and grime in less time and with less physical labor by the operator.

There are two types of cleaning tools that generally fall under the category of pressure washer surface cleaner: waterbrooms and flat surface cleaners. Waterbrooms are long narrow devices that have multiple nozzles which are used close to the ground for high pressure concentrated cleaning. They generally have two wheels for easy maneuvering and are best suited to clean caked on food spills, bird droppings and dirt from concrete, pavers, asphalt, wood decks and patio stone.

The more capable option is the flat surface cleaner which comes in a variety of different sizes. The type and style accessory that you buy is impacted by the type of machine that it will be attached to. Each add-on device has minimum requirements in terms of psi (pounds per square inch) and maximum water flow. So using a heavy duty flat surface cleaner mated to a residential use, 1500 psi pressure washer will not yield optimal results. Also, make sure that the connectors and adaptors required will work with the current pressure washer hose.

Campbell Hausfeld Surface Cleaner

One of the most popular rotary cleaner attachments for electric pressure washers up to 2500 psi and 2.2 gpm. Really effective for smooth surfaces such as concrete and garage floors. Adapters available for top brands such as: Karcher, Husky, Ridgid, and Black and Decker. There is also a built in pressure regulator and the wand, or main body is expandable to assure the proper fit for the user.

For large areas and commercial or industrial applications, Whisper Wash makes a full line of specialized attachments. The Whisper Wash Ultra Clean with Wheels is a top-of-the-line cleaner. High quality parts including the machined spray bar will provide years of great service. Great for cleaning concrete with the ability to get in and out of tight spaces and corners due to its four way pivoting caster design. For the Ultra Clean 19 inch model, the pressure washing machine must generate at least 2000 PSI and 3 GPM. However, using the bare minimum requirements might result in lower performance less than stellar results.
